Shabnam has been in the events industry since 1996. She joined IIR Middle East in 1999 which was then acquired by Informa PLC. Having managed the production team, she went on to become Managing Director of the KNect365 business in Dubai with the objective of delivering high quality content for the decision makers in the region. Since then, Shabnam has taken over the management of KNect Maritime (UK), KNect IMI (US) and KNect Learning in Australia. Her role is focused on establishing a strong presence for KNect365’s events and communities in these markets.

Peter was appointed Managing Director, Trade & Consumer MENA and UK, Informa in 2014 and is based in Dubai. He is responsible for a range of business to business and consumer events organized from offices in Dubai, Cairo and London, covering real estate investment, electricity generation & distribution, security, automotive, wedding, agriculture, printing & packaging, logistics & transport and renewable energy sectors. Prior to that, Peter held various senior management roles across Informa’s exhibitions, business information and conference divisions since joining the company in 2000.Peter is a graduate of the University of Leeds with a 1st Class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering; he also holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management

One of the best places to work in Dubai! The salary package is very competitive and includes a relocation incentive of 1 month accommodation and annual tickets home. There are regular management meetings, HR is very supportive and the company is listed with most reputed banks. Overall, it was a great experience working there.
